Sit & Stitch!
We are hosting a "Sit & Stitch" Crafternoon in our garden at our studio/garden in Loveland on May 30 from 2:00-4:00, this is a casual hangout for bringing unfinished projects of any kind, any class projects that you want to work on or ask for help with, and just general social stitching/drawing/making/ relaxing together. Bring a friend, no tickets needed.
(Speaking of tickets, eventbrite takes about $4 from every class ticket, so for a $5 discount on any class, just text me (Joanna) at 970-744-9550 to register for a class via Venmo for $5 off!)
~Our Instructors~
Joanna Johnson learned to knit as a child from her mother and grandma, worked as a living history museum artisan in high school and college, and fell headlong into fiber arts after finishing her BA in Literature at Drew University. She is the author of 8 craft books and has taught fiber arts at the Madison Knitting Guild, Scotts Bluff Valley Fiber Arts Fair, Boulder Handweaver’s Guild, Loopy Ewe Spring Fling, and various local yarn shops. Joanna has also taught online for Interweave Workshops and was featured on Knitting Daily TV; her work has been published in Jane Austen Knits, Spin-Off, Knitting Traditions, Knitty, Farm and Fiber Knits, Knitscene, and Piecework magazines.
Laurel Barr first picked up a needle and thread when she was 3, and has been crafting ever since. She has a BA in Studio Art and Dance from the University of Northern Colorado, and is a certified aerial yoga instructor, dance teacher, and urban forest preschool teaching assistant. When she isn’t dancing, she can be found pursuing her favorite creative arts: crochet, lace tatting, embroidery, bookbinding, knitting, drawing, and jewelry-making. Laurel’s artwork has been published in Little Women Knits and Sherlock Knits, along with Piecework, Filament, and Spin-Off magazines.
