Grand Knitting Magazine Kind of Day

by Phoebe
Stroller days are almost over for us. Little Brother is almost too big for the pushchair, but not just yet. Still, it makes a walk to the Post Office all the sweeter. Today there were two packages waiting for us...

What was inside? Two magazines. One published in Mother's home state of NJ. The other published in our adopted hometown of Loveland, CO.

One contains an article about Mother and Father and their knitting storybooks. The other page you see is an article by Mother about an old friend of her grandmother's who happens to be a knitting legend. More on that soon. But for now, let's call it a grand magazine kind of day.

Jack and Jill Lunch Bag... going to school.

by Joanna
We celebrated the start of a brand new school year in Sister's love language... Crafting!

We found the perfect sewing pattern from Heather Bailey, called the Jack and Jill Lunch Bag.
The perfect fabric, a laminated print from Amy Butler.
At the perfect shop, Fancy Tiger.

Phoebe kept us company.

We took turns at the sewing machine.

Inside out. Right-side out.

Tied up in a big pink bow.

And ready to go!
It makes me feel better letting her go... knowing she is carrying this memory of a crafty day spent together, celebrating the end of summer.
